The Rombo 1×12″ is designed to offer the versatility of two different acoustic configurations in a single cabinet.

Its removable rear panel allows the cabinet to be used either open-back or closed-back, with a clearly different response in each configuration.

In open-back mode, the sound becomes more open, spacious and naturally dispersed — particularly effective in the studio, smaller live settings and whenever a more airy, three-dimensional response is desired.

With the rear panel fitted, the closed-back configuration delivers a tighter low end, greater focus and a more immediate projection, making it especially effective on stage and with overdriven or distorted sounds.

The Rombo can be fitted as standard with a Jensen BB40, for an American-oriented voice, or a Celestion Creamback, for a more distinctly British character.

Its compact dimensions and low weight make it an ideal choice for players who regularly move between studio, rehearsal and live performance, without giving up the presence, dynamics and feel of a real 12" cabinet.

Like every Artesound cabinet, the Rombo can be built in solid larch, our lighter option, with a naturally distinctive and slightly more rustic appearance, or in premium woods such as walnut, cherry and maple.

Different woods can also be combined to create a truly individual cabinet, both visually and sonically.

The Rombo is therefore more than a compact cabinet for a guitar amplifier. It is an integral part of the sound system, allowing you to choose the speaker, acoustic configuration and materials according to your amplifier, playing style and environment.
