INFINITY 2x12 Cabinet
INFINITY 212
Not simply a sound you hear. A sound you feel.
Some guitar sounds do more than fill a recording.
You feel them.
The commanding clean of Stevie Ray Vaughan. The depth, authority and sheer scale of the great Allman Brothers rigs. And, pushing further, those territories explored by Jimi Hendrix, where guitar, amplifier, cabinet and room seem to become almost one instrument.
That physical dimension of sound is what guided the design of INFINITY 212.
GREAT SOUND NEEDS ROOM
INFINITY 212 is a large-volume sealed 2×12 cabinet inspired by the legendary Fender Bandmaster enclosures.
The concept is simple: when a great valve amplifier is given the opportunity to express itself fully, the cabinet must have the acoustic scale to match it.
Its acoustic-suspension construction, generous internal volume and the use of internal damping material — an unusual approach in the world of guitar cabinets — contribute to a response that is deep, powerful and exceptionally controlled.
The result is not simply more bass.
It is a different scale of sound.
Notes have greater body. Chords gain depth. Clean tones retain authority and definition. When the amplifier is pushed, the cabinet provides a solid, powerful foundation without losing control.
YOU DON'T JUST HEAR IT. YOU FEEL IT.
With INFINITY 212, low frequencies do not simply sit underneath the guitar.
They move through the room.
A low note can reach the floor before you have time to analyze it. An open chord gains weight. A palm mute becomes physical. The sound seems to leave the cabinet with a mass and pressure that a smaller conventional enclosure simply cannot reproduce in the same way.
It is that sensation you experience in front of a great valve rig when the volume rises and, suddenly, the room becomes part of the sound.
FROM SRV TO HENDRIX
INFINITY 212 feels completely at home with the commanding cleans of Stevie Ray Vaughan, the depth and authority of the Allman Brothers, and the great valve-driven guitar sounds that defined an era.
But its character does not stop there.
With the right amplifier and the right player, its substantial low-end foundation and dynamic response can move into territories explored by Jimi Hendrix — where guitar, amplifier, cabinet and room become almost one instrument.
Not a recreation of a historical rig.
A pursuit of the same freedom, depth and physical impact.
THE NATURAL PARTNER FOR VIBROTWEED
INFINITY 212 was conceived as the natural partner for the Artesound VibroTweed head.
The Blackface channel gains an expansive, three-dimensional foundation for its cleans, while the Tweed/Brown channel develops greater body, punch and a powerful yet exceptionally controlled low-end response.
The valve-driven spring reverb and bias-modulation tremolo retain their definition within a much larger sonic image.
But INFINITY 212 is not limited to VibroTweed.
It performs beautifully with other serious valve heads, particularly when the goal is a deep, authoritative response that allows the character of the amplifier to come through at full scale.
RESONANT LARCH
The cabinet is built from resonant larch, following the Artesound philosophy of cabinet construction.
The generous volume, sealed architecture, carefully considered internal acoustic environment and choice of materials are not cosmetic details.
They are part of the sound.
INFINITY 212 is for the player who does not simply want to hear their amplifier clearly.
They want to experience it completely.
For the professional.
For the collector.
For the player who knows the difference between a good guitar tone and a great one.
A sound that does not simply reach your ears.
It reaches your body.
